Click Speed Test

How many clicks can you land in 5 seconds? Measure your CPS — clicks per second.

CPS — clicks per second — is the standard measure of clicking speed used by gamers, especially in Minecraft PvP communities where fast clicking used to decide fights. Most people manage 5–7 CPS with a normal technique; jitter clicking and butterfly clicking push scores higher at the cost of control (and, over years, your mouse switches).

How to use

  1. Pick a duration — 5 seconds is the classic CPS benchmark.
  2. Click the big box to start the timer, then click as fast as you can.
  3. When time runs out you get your total clicks and your CPS (clicks per second).

About this tool

Your score depends on your mouse, your technique and the test length: short tests flatter burst speed, while 30 and 60-second tests measure sustainable pace. This test counts raw clicks only — no auto-clickers, no tricks.

The test runs entirely in your browser. Your clicks are counted locally and nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good CPS score?

5–6 CPS is average, 7–8 is fast, and 9+ puts you ahead of most players. World-class jitter and drag clickers claim far higher numbers, usually on specialised mice.

Does the first click count?

Yes. The first click both starts the timer and counts as click number one.

Why is my CPS lower on the 60-second test?

Fatigue. Burst speed is easy for five seconds; holding the same pace for a minute is a different skill, which is why longer tests exist.

Can I use this on a phone or trackpad?

Yes — taps and trackpad clicks count too, though a mouse usually scores higher.
