How to Embed a Verystep Tool on Carrd (Embed Element, Pro Standard)
One-page sites live or die on what fits the page — an embedded tool earns its space.

On Carrd, embed a Verystep tool with the Embed element set to Type: Code, pasting the tool’s snippet into it. The Embed element requires a Pro Standard plan or higher; it does not exist on free sites or Pro Lite. With the plan in place the whole job takes a couple of minutes, and the frame sizes like any other Carrd element.
The plan check comes first
Carrd’s pricing is gentle, but its Embed element sits behind the Pro Standard tier ($19/year at the time of writing) and is absent from both the free plan and Pro Lite. If you open the element menu and there is no Embed, that is the reason — not a glitch. Pro Standard is cheap as plans go, and it also unlocks custom domains and forms; if your one-pager is public-facing, the embed is rarely the only thing it buys you. The other platforms’ gates are summarised on the embed overview.
Step by step (Pro Standard or higher)
- Open the tool and copy its embed code — the example below is the QR Code Generator.
- In the Carrd editor, click Add Element and choose Embed.
- Set the element’s Type to Code.
- Paste the snippet into the code field.
- Give the element a height that fits the tool — Carrd asks you for the frame’s dimensions, and 520 tall is the snippet’s own starting point.
- Preview, check the mobile layout, and publish.
Worked example
The exact snippet from the QR Code Generator’s embed box:
<iframe src="https://verystep.com/embed/qr/" title="QR Code Generator" width="100%" height="520" loading="lazy" style="border:0"></iframe>
Carrd pages are usually narrow and single-column, which suits most tools. Wide ones — the AQL results table — still work, but give them a test scroll on a phone before you send traffic.
If something looks wrong
No Embed element in the menu. Plan tier. Free and Pro Lite do not include it; Pro Standard and above do.
The frame renders but the tool is clipped. Raise the element’s height setting (and the snippet’s height to match). Carrd does not auto-grow embedded frames.
The embed pushed my one-pager into a long scroll. That is the honest trade-off of a live tool on a one-page site. A shorter tool at a tighter height — raising it only as far as the content needs — keeps the page feeling like a Carrd page.
Keep going
Building on a design tool instead? Framer’s Embed component takes the same snippet in two modes. For a full site, Wix has an equivalent element with no plan gate at all.
The worked example below embeds the Verystep QR Code Generator — a natural pairing for link-in-bio and one-page sites. Its embed box is under the FAQs, same as every tool here.
Frequently asked questions
Which Carrd plan includes the Embed element?
Pro Standard or higher. The Embed element is not available on free sites or on Pro Lite; if it is missing from your element menu, the plan is why.
What does the Embed element’s Type need to be?
Code. The Embed element has other types for specific services; the raw iframe snippet from a Verystep tool goes in as Code.
Can an embedded tool work well on a one-page Carrd site?
Yes, if you size it deliberately. Pick a tool that fits a single column, set the height to what the tool actually needs, and test on a phone — most Carrd traffic is mobile.
Is the height in the snippet or in Carrd’s settings in charge?
Both should agree. Carrd asks for the frame’s dimensions in the element settings; set those first, and keep the snippet’s height number consistent with them.
