UK Lotto Number Generator

Generate random UK Lotto lines — 6 numbers from 1–59. No bonus number to pick: the Bonus Ball is drawn by the lottery, never chosen.

This generator produces random UK Lotto lines: six numbers from 1 to 59, and nothing else to pick. Lotto is the flagship game of the UK National Lottery, drawn every Wednesday and Saturday evening. Uniquely among the games on this site, there is no special number for the player to choose — each round also draws a Bonus Ball from the remaining 53 balls, which only matters to players who match exactly five main numbers. Match all six main numbers in a round to win a share of the jackpot. This page makes picks only; it sells no tickets and predicts nothing.

Please read first — what this tool is and is not. This tool only generates random numbers. It does not sell lottery tickets, does not buy tickets on anyone’s behalf, and plays no part in any lottery draw or wager. It cannot predict winning numbers — no tool can. Every valid combination has exactly the same chance of being drawn as every other combination. To buy a real ticket you must be of the legal lottery-playing age where you live (18 or older in most places). Generate UK Lotto lines below: six numbers from 1–59 per line. There is deliberately no seventh ball to choose — the Bonus Ball is drawn by the lottery, not picked.

Format and odds: The National Lottery (Allwyn); two-round format per the UK Gambling Commission licence variation of 7 June 2026. Last verified: November 2026. Want all six games in one place? Use the Lottery Number Generator.

Quick answers

What are the UK Lotto number ranges?

Six main numbers from 1 to 59 — that is the whole line. There is no bonus or lucky number for the player to pick: each round, the lottery itself draws a Bonus Ball from the remaining 53 balls, and it only affects players who match exactly five main numbers.

One line therefore has 45,057,474 possible combinations per round. Since June 2026 your line is checked against two rounds per draw night, which is why the per-line jackpot chance across a full night is 1 in 22,528,738.

Why does this generator not give me a Bonus Ball number?

Because in UK Lotto players never choose a Bonus Ball. It is drawn by the lottery from the balls left after the six main numbers, and it has exactly one job: a line matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball wins the fixed £1 million second prize instead of the Match 5 prize. A generator that offered you a “bonus pick” would be inventing a rule the game does not have.

If you see a UK Lotto generator asking you to pick seven numbers, it is confusing Lotto with another game. Your real decision is just six numbers from 1 to 59.

Can a number generator improve my UK Lotto odds?

No. Every six-number line has exactly the same 1 in 45,057,474 chance per round, however it was chosen. The June 2026 two-round format doubled the number of chances each line gets per night — that improvement came from the game’s rules, and it applies equally to generated, hand-picked and Lucky Dip lines.

What a generator can do is spread your six numbers across the full 1–59 range. Birthday-based lines (all numbers 31 or under) are extremely popular in the UK, so if such a line ever matched all six, the shared jackpot would be divided among far more winners.

How to use

  1. Choose how many lines to generate: 1, 3 or 5.
  2. Click Generate numbers. Each line is six main numbers from 1–59 — there is no seventh number to pick in Lotto.
  3. Click again for a fresh set, or use Copy numbers to save the lines as text.
  4. If you play, transfer the numbers to an official Lotto ticket yourself: each £2 line automatically enters both rounds of the Wednesday or Saturday draw night. This site sells no tickets.

About this tool

The important recent change: since 10 June 2026, every £2 Lotto line is entered into two separate rounds on each draw night — two independent sets of six numbers plus a Bonus Ball, drawn back to back, with your same six numbers checked against both. The UK Gambling Commission approved the licence variation on 7 June 2026. Per round, the jackpot odds are unchanged at 1 in 45,057,474; across both rounds, one line’s chance of matching six is 1 in 22,528,738, and the overall chance of winning any prize improved from about 1 in 9.3 to about 1 in 4.9 per line. The jackpot itself is a single pool shared by Match 6 winners in either round.

The two-round change also reshaped the smaller prizes: Match 2 now pays £1 cash (it used to win a free Lucky Dip), the fixed prizes for Match 3, 4 and 5 were reduced to £10, £50 and £1,000 to fund the extra round, and Match 5 plus the Bonus Ball still pays a fixed £1 million. If the jackpot is not won on five consecutive draw nights, the sixth is a Must Be Won draw in which the jackpot money is guaranteed to be paid out that night.

Lotto launched on 19 November 1994 as the very first National Lottery game, and its format has been rebuilt several times: the pool grew from 49 to 59 balls in October 2015, which set the per-round odds still used today, and operation of the National Lottery passed from Camelot to Allwyn on 1 February 2024. Through every rebuild, one use of a generator stays the same: random lines spread across 1–59 instead of bunching into the birthday range 1–31, so a jackpot, if it ever comes, is less likely to be shared. Last verified: November 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What are the two rounds in UK Lotto?

Since 10 June 2026, each Wednesday and Saturday draw night consists of two separate rounds. Each round draws its own six main numbers and a Bonus Ball, and your single £2 line is entered into both automatically — you can win in Round 1, Round 2, or both. The jackpot is one shared pool across the two rounds; the other prize tiers are assessed per round.

Do I need a different set of numbers for each round?

No. You pick one line of six numbers and it is checked against both rounds. There is nothing extra to buy and nothing extra to generate — the second round simply gives the same line a second, independent chance each night.

What does the Bonus Ball do?

It is drawn from the 53 balls remaining after the six main numbers, and it matters to exactly one group: players who matched five main numbers. With the Bonus Ball they win the fixed £1 million second prize; without it they win the Match 5 prize of £1,000. Players never pick it, and it has no effect on any other tier.

What is a Must Be Won draw?

If the jackpot rolls through five consecutive draw nights without a Match 6 winner, the sixth night is a Must Be Won draw: the jackpot must be paid out. If nobody matches six in either round that night, the jackpot fund is rolled down — under the current rules it boosts Match 2 winners to £5 each, with the standard tiers paid as usual.

What do you win for matching two numbers?

Since the June 2026 changes, Match 2 wins £1 cash in each round where it matches. Before the change it won a free Lucky Dip ticket instead. Match 3 pays £10, Match 4 pays £50 and Match 5 pays £1,000 under the current prize structure.

Are the odds 1 in 45 million or 1 in 22.5 million?

Both, measuring different things. Per round, matching all six is 1 in 45,057,474 — that figure has not changed since the 59-ball format began in 2015. Per £2 line across a whole draw night, you get two independent rounds, so the combined chance is 1 in 22,528,738. The National Lottery quotes the per-line figure; the per-round figure is the one that describes a single draw of six balls.
