Generate random Lotto America lines — 5 numbers from 1–52 plus a Star Ball from 1–10, the best jackpot odds of any game on this site.
This generator produces random Lotto America lines in the game’s exact format: five numbers from 1 to 52, plus one Star Ball from a separate pool of 1 to 10. Lotto America is a US multi-state game run by the Multi-State Lottery Association, drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night, and a play costs just $1. Match all five numbers and the Star Ball to win the jackpot — a 1 in 25,989,600 chance per play, the shortest jackpot odds of any game covered on this site. This page makes picks only; it sells no tickets and predicts nothing.

Quick answers
What are the Lotto America number ranges?
Five main numbers from 1 to 52, plus one Star Ball from a separate pool of 1 to 10. The Star Ball is drawn independently, so it can have the same value as one of your five main numbers.
The pools combine into 25,989,600 possible lines, which is exactly the published jackpot odds: 1 in 25,989,600 per $1 play. Draws are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Can a number generator improve my Lotto America odds?
No. Lotto America’s jackpot odds are the best on this site — 1 in 25,989,600 — but they are the same for every line however it was picked, and still very long in absolute terms. A generator changes which combinations you hold, never their probability.
Buying more lines does scale your chance linearly — ten lines cover ten distinct combinations, for a 10 in 25,989,600 chance — but that is a property of buying more tickets, not of how the numbers were generated. This generator will happily produce 1, 3 or 5 lines; what you do with them is your call and your budget.
How does this generator pick Lotto America numbers?
In your browser, it shuffles the 1–52 pool and the separate 1–10 Star Ball pool using crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, takes the first five values and the first Star Ball value, and sorts the main five. Fittingly, since April 2023 the real Lotto America drawings are also produced by a random number generator — though a certified, audited one, and this tool is not connected to it in any way.
Main numbers are drawn without replacement, so they cannot repeat within a line. Generation is entirely local to your tab: nothing is uploaded, stored or sent.
How to use
- Choose how many lines to generate: 1, 3 or 5.
- Click Generate numbers. The white balls are your five main numbers (1–52); the amber ball is the Star Ball (1–10).
- Click again for a fresh set, or use Copy numbers to save the lines as text.
- If you play, transfer the numbers to an official Lotto America ticket in a participating state before the Monday, Wednesday or Saturday draw — this site sells no tickets.
About this tool
Perspective matters, though: 1 in 25,989,600 is roughly eleven times better than Powerball’s odds, and the trade-off is a jackpot that starts at $2 million and has never exceeded $40.03 million (won on 1 April 2023). There are nine prize tiers and the overall chance of winning something is 1 in 9.63 — matching the Star Ball alone already pays $2. For an extra $1 per play, the All Star Bonus option multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5; like Power Play and the Mega Millions multiplier, it is a purchase-time option that changes payouts, not numbers, so the generator does not model it.
Lotto America has the most interesting history of the six games here. The original Lotto America ran from 1988 to 1992 and was effectively the predecessor of Powerball — MUSL replaced it with the bigger game, then revived the name on 12 November 2017, when the current game replaced the retiring Hot Lotto. Monday draws were added on 18 July 2022, and since 17 April 2023 the drawings have been produced by a certified random number generator rather than ball machines. It is currently sold in 14 states and Washington DC.
A $1 ticket and better odds do not make generated numbers any more magical here than elsewhere: every one of the 25,989,600 combinations is equally likely, and a Quick Pick, a generated line and your own numbers are interchangeable in chance. The generator’s real contribution is the usual one — an even spread across the full 1–52 range instead of the birthday cluster at 1–31, which trims the chance of sharing a prize. Frequently asked questions
Why are Lotto America’s odds so much better than Powerball’s?
Because the pools are smaller and the game is built that way on purpose: 5 from 52 plus 1 from 10 makes 25,989,600 combinations, against Powerball’s 292,201,338. The exchange is prize size — Lotto America jackpots start at $2 million and its record is $40.03 million, while Powerball starts at $20 million and has passed $2 billion.
What is the All Star Bonus?
An optional extra $1 per play that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times, according to the multiplier drawn. It never applies to the jackpot, and it is chosen when buying a real ticket — it does not change the numbers, so this generator does not include it.
Is Lotto America really drawn by computer?
Yes — since 17 April 2023, Lotto America drawings are conducted using a certified random number generator rather than physical ball machines, under MUSL rules and audit. The draws are not televised like Powerball’s; results are published by the participating lotteries after each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday drawing.
What is the connection between Lotto America and Powerball?
Lotto America came first: the original game ran from 1988 to 1992 and was the Multi-State Lottery Association’s original multi-state product, replaced by Powerball in 1992. MUSL revived the Lotto America name in November 2017 for a smaller, cheaper game alongside Powerball — the two are now sister games run by the same association.
Where can Lotto America be played?
In 14 US states — including Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Tennessee — and in Washington DC, as of 2026. It is a deliberately regional game, which is another reason its jackpots stay smaller: fewer players means a smaller prize pool.
Can the Star Ball match one of my main numbers?
Yes. The Star Ball comes from its own pool of 1–10, drawn independently of the main numbers, so a line such as 7-19-26-38-51 with Star Ball 7 is perfectly valid, here and in the real draw.
