About this tool

How it works
Lorem ipsum has been the design industry's placeholder text since the 1960s, when Letraset included it on dry-transfer lettering sheets. The scrambled Latin comes from Cicero's "De finibus bonorum et malorum" (45 BC) — "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" is a mangled slice of "dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet".
Designers use it because readable-looking nonsense lets clients judge layout, typography, and spacing without getting distracted by real copy. This generator produces classic lorem paragraphs in any quantity, so you get exactly as much filler as the mockup needs.
Worked examples
Wireframe: Need three paragraphs of filler for a homepage mockup? Generate exactly three — no deleting extras.
Font test: Generate a long passage to see how a typeface handles extended body text before committing to it.
